This is a message from the Northamptonshire Police Community Messaging Team.
Officers working on Operation Guardian were busy on the streets of Northamptonshire yesterday, Thursday 4 March.
Operation Guardian is the countywide operation dedicated to bringing to justice those involved in serious acquisitive crime - robbery, burglary and vehicle crime.
Today 15 arrests have been made and since October Operation Guardian has produced more than 670 arrests across Northamptonshire.
Senior officers from Force Headquarters, including Martin Jelley, accompanied patrols on both sides of the county. As part of this, police conducted 'pulse patrols' around Northampton's Town Centre, where a large police presence was made to a number of the centre's crime hot spots.
Details of yesterday's 15 arrests are as follows:
One man has been arrested in Market Street, Northampton, for possession of drugs.
A further six were arrested from an address in Newington Road, Kingsthorpe, suspected of being illegal immigrants.
Trading Standards were also out and about in the county, searching second-hand outlets for stolen items.
One arrested in Rymer House, Chalcombe Avenue, Northampton, for possession of cannabis.
One arrested in Princess Way, Wellingborough, for failure to appear in court.
Three arrested for Grevious Bodily Harm, at two addresses in Northampton (Lea Road and St James Park Road), and Townsend Road in Walgrave.
One arrested in Merthyr Road, Northampton, on suspicion of burglary.
One arrested as part of the Operation Guardian patrols, in Ash Street, Northampton, for breach of the sex offender register restrictions.
Gary Ashton, Safer Community Team's Chief Inspector for Northamptonshire West, accompanied officers on disruption visits to suspected offenders at six addresses.
Gary said: "One householder asked if we were part of Operation Guardian, a clear indication that word is getting out that Op Guardian is here to stay, with the aim of making the lives of criminals very uncomfortable indeed.
"PCSO's are clearly developing strong links with their local communities, which was made evident on the visits I made".
Police staff from Safer Community Teams visited over 300 homes and businesses as part of today's Operation Guardian activities, in Castle, Northampton, and in Kettering.
They spoke to over 100 people about Operation Guardian, gave out crime prevention advice, and interacted with members of the public about policing priorities in their communities.
