Cash In Transit Robbery in Kettering
OFFICERS investigating a cash in transit robbery in Kettering now have some information in connection with the vehicle they believe was used in the incident.
The robbery took place in High Street, Kettering, at about 6.50pm on Monday 13 July when unknown offenders smashed the windows of the Abbey National before stealing a quantity of cash.
It was a black Skoda Fabia which with the registration MK52 WFX and it was found in Hall Lane in the town shortly after the incident took place. The vehicle had previously been stolen from the Cambridgeshire area.
Detective Inspector Andy Nichols said: "This was a violent robbery that left a security guard in hospital.
"We are keen to hear from potential witnesses who saw anyone acting suspiciously near the vehicle in High Street or who spotted the vehicle out and about in Kettering shortly before or just after the incident took place."
Forensic tests are currently being carried out on the vehicle.
