This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police to all residents in the Central area of Northampton Town of three recent incidents.
Billing Road - Between the times of 5.30pm Saturday 20 and 10am Sunday 21 March unknown person/s enter a vehicle by breaking the windows and a satellite navigation unit stolen.
Elizabeth Street - Between the times of 8.30pm Friday 19 and 9am Saturday 20 unknown person/s entered a vehicle whilst parked outside a home address. A window was broken and the stereo unit taken.
Vernon Terrace - Between the times of 10pm Wednesday 17 and 5.30am Thursday 18 March unknown person/s forced the lock to a car door and stole property from within.
Security marking tools, such as Selecta Mark and SmartWater, can act as a deterrent and also help officers return your property to you.
Residents are advised to always make sure that their vehicles are left locked even if only leaving them unattended for five minutes. Never leave property on display or 'hidden' in the boot and glove box at any time of day, including any indication of a Sat Nav system and activate any alarm systems.
