[NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COMMUNITY MESSAGING - Northamptonshire West -  18.03.10 - WN12 BURG DWELL 3234]

This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police to all residents in the Central area of Northampton Town centre.

Upper Thrift Street  - between the times of 8am Monday1 March and 6am Wednesday 17 March

A garden pitch fork was used to force a ground floor window in order to enter the property.  No access was gained on this occasion.

Residents are reminded to ensure that all garages, sheds and out buildings are secured when not in use as they may contain items that could assist an offender in entering your home.

Drugs In Our Community

As you know, drugs are NEVER something we should turn our backs on. Drugs can be addictive, even cannabis and many people commit crime in order to get the cash to pay for drugs. There is also the side issue of dirty needles being left lying around the Semilong Community, as what happened recently when some were found outside Castle School.

For that reason, if you know anything about drugs in our community, please let the police know, let us know, or tell Crimestoppers.

This is an issue which must be tackled.
