[NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COMMUNITY MESSAGING - Northamptonshire West - 22.02.10 - WB/CMS/2690/09 - WN12 - BURGLARY]

This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police to residents in the Central area of Northampton Town centre.

Please be aware that two commercial properties in the area were recently broken in to. 

The Avenue, Cliftonville - three gas canisters removed from a secure shed in the rear yard sometime between 8am Monday 8 February and 8am Wednesday 17 February.

Wellingborough Road - sometime between 9:55 and 11:30pm offenders smashed the glass to the premises and attempted to force open the till. Nothing was taken.

Drugs In Our Community

As you know, drugs are NEVER something we should turn our backs on. Drugs can be addictive, even cannabis and many people commit crime in order to get the cash to pay for drugs. There is also the side issue of dirty needles being left lying around the Semilong Community, as what happened recently when some were found outside Castle School.

For that reason, if you know anything about drugs in our community, please let the police know, let us know, or tell Crimestoppers.

This is an issue which must be tackled.
