[NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COMMUNITY MESSAGING - Northamptonshire West - 21.01.10 - WN12 - THEFT FROM MV - 2144]

This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police to all residents in the central area of Northampton.

Please be aware that two males were seen loitering in the area of Elizabeth Walk sometime around 20.00 Wednesday 20 January.

They were then seen to smash the passenger side window of a vehicle by unknown means to gain entry.  It is currently unknown if property was taken.

Please remember to secure all vehicles when not in use, even for the shortest periods of time. Remember to remove all valuables from your vehicles rather than hide them in the boot or glove box, activate alarm systems where fitted and use steering locks. Always try to park in well-lit and visible areas if you cannot park in a secure garage.

Drugs In Our Community

As you know, drugs are NEVER something we should turn our backs on. Drugs can be addictive, even cannabis and many people commit crime in order to get the cash to pay for drugs. There is also the side issue of dirty needles being left lying around the Semilong Community, as what happened recently when some were found outside Castle School.

For that reason, if you know anything about drugs in our community, please let the police know, let us know, or tell Crimestoppers.

This is an issue which must be tackled.
