[NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COMMUNITY MESSAGING - Northamptonshire West - 18.01.10 - WB/CMS/2083/09 - WN12  - VEHICLE]

This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police to residents in the Central area of Northampton Town Centre. 

Please be aware that offender broken in to a vehicle parked in St Johns Street sometime between 22:00 Saturday 16 January and 11:00 Sunday 17 January. In this incident the offenders smashed the drivers side window and removed items from within.

Please remember to secure all vehicles when not in use, even for the shortest periods of time. Always remove all valuables from your vehicle rather than hide them in the glove box or boot. Ensure any alarms or steering locks fitted are activated when you leave the vehicle, and try to park in a well-lit area if you are unable to park in a secure garage.

Drugs In Our Community

As you know, drugs are NEVER something we should turn our backs on. Drugs can be addictive, even cannabis and many people commit crime in order to get the cash to pay for drugs. There is also the side issue of dirty needles being left lying around the Semilong Community, as what happened recently when some were found outside Castle School.

For that reason, if you know anything about drugs in our community, please let the police know, let us know, or tell Crimestoppers.

This is an issue which must be tackled.
