[NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COMMUNITY MESSAGING - Northamptonshire West - 30.12.09 - WN12 - BURG OTHER 1848]

This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police to all Neighbourhood Watch in Central Northampton.

Please be aware of an incident that took place between the hours of 17.30 on Wednesday 23 December and 08.45 Tuesday 29 December at a premise in Billing Road.

An instrument was used in an attempt to prise the lock and force the rear fire door open to gain entry, however no access was gained on this occasion.

Please remain vigilant especially as the nights are darker earlier now; please report any suspicious activity you may see.

Drugs In Our Community

As you know, drugs are NEVER something we should turn our backs on. Drugs can be addictive, even cannabis and many people commit crime in order to get the cash to pay for drugs. There is also the side issue of dirty needles being left lying around the Semilong Community, as what happened recently when some were found outside Castle School.

For that reason, if you know anything about drugs in our community, please let the police know, let us know, or tell Crimestoppers.

This is an issue which must be tackled.
