[NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COMMUNITY MESSAGING - Northamptonshire West - 21.12.09-WN12- Theft from MV 1759]
This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police to all members of Neighbourhood Watch in central Northampton area of two recent incidents of theft from vehicles.
Around the time of 12.40 Sunday 20 December, the drivers side window of a vehicle parked in St Giles Street was smashed to gain entry whereby items were stolen from within. The offender was seen walking off in the direction to Bedford Mansions on Derngate.
Between the hours of 15.15 and 15.35 Friday 18 December, a vehicle parked in Cheyne Walk was broken in to and items taken from within.
A male was seen reaching inside the passenger window, which is believed to have been smashed using a glass hammer. As the driver returned to their vehicle, the offender made off in the direction of Billing Road with a satellite navigation holder and charger and an Ipod charger
Description of the offender is as follows.
White 6ft tall male, clean shaven and slim in build
