[NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COMMUNITY MESSAGING - Northamptonshire West - 03/12/09 all NHW MK ROBBERY 1513]
This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police on behalf of Thames Valley Police, Milton Keynes in reference to the robbery at the Centre MK in Milton Keynes on Tuesday 1 December.
Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident that occurred at about 11.42am at Leslie Davis jewellers in the shopping centre where a number of high value watches were stolen.
The offenders ran from the store and left via Exit 11, which is between Next and The Entertainer. They made their getaway in a black Ford Focus, which had been reported stolen in Oxford on Sunday night (29 November). The car was found abandoned 13 minutes later on North Row, close to the footbridge into Conniburrow.
Thames Valley Police have said that the response from the public in supplying information has been excellent but information is still required about where the offenders went after they left the car. Incidents of this nature are rare and the Police are working extremely hard to bring those responsible to justice."
The police cordon at the thecentremk has now been lifted and all stores other than the jewellers in question are open for business as usual.
Please be wary should you be offered the opportunity to purchase watches at a lower price than you would normally expect to pay.
If you think you may have seen these men or have any information about this incident please contact Thames Valley police on 0845 8505 505 alternatively contact Northamptonshire West Police or Crimestoppers on the numbers below quoting reference.
Thank you
