[NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COMMUNITY MESSAGING - Northamptonshire West - 25.11.09- MV WN12 THEFT - 1419]

This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police to all members of Neighbourhood Watch living in Northampton Central.

A vehicle parked in St Giles Terrace was broken into sometime between the hours of 20.00 and 22.00 Tuesday 24 November.  The drivers side window was smashed and once inside the steering column was pulled off; damage was also caused to the key barrel possibly in an attempt to start the vehicle, however it was not moved.

Residents are advised to always make sure that their vehicles are left locked even if only leaving them unattended for five minutes.

Drugs In Our Community

As you know, drugs are NEVER something we should turn our backs on. Drugs can be addictive, even cannabis and many people commit crime in order to get the cash to pay for drugs. There is also the side issue of dirty needles being left lying around the Semilong Community, as what happened recently when some were found outside Castle School.

For that reason, if you know anything about drugs in our community, please let the police know, let us know, or tell Crimestoppers.

This is an issue which must be tackled.
