[NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COMMUNITY MESSAGING - Northamptonshire West - 18.11.09 - WB/CMS/1327/09 - WN12  + FORECOURTS- VE]

This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police to all members of Neighbourhood watch in the Central area of Northampton Town Centre and all Garages and Forecourts.

Please be aware that a vehicle parked in a garage on the Bedford Road was stolen sometime between 9:50 and 20:50 Sunday 15 November.

In this incident two offenders gained access to the forecourt at the rear of the premises and are seen on CCTV to select an insecure motorbike and remove it from the area. The offenders attempted to start the motorbike but were unsuccessful, as a result they set fire to the bike and fled the scene.

Drugs In Our Community

As you know, drugs are NEVER something we should turn our backs on. Drugs can be addictive, even cannabis and many people commit crime in order to get the cash to pay for drugs. There is also the side issue of dirty needles being left lying around the Semilong Community, as what happened recently when some were found outside Castle School.

For that reason, if you know anything about drugs in our community, please let the police know, let us know, or tell Crimestoppers.

This is an issue which must be tackled.
