[NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COMMUNITY MESSAGING - Northamptonshire West - 17.11.09 - WN12 THEFT MV 1318]

This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police to members of Neighbourhood Watch in the centre of Northampton of four recent incidents of theft from vehicles.

Great Russell Street sometime between 20.00 Sunday 15 November and 07.40 Monday 16 November - the front and rear windows of a vehicle are smashed with a brick and a selection of CD's removed from with.

Spencer Parade sometime between 12.33 and 14.00 Monday 16 November - the driver's side front window was smashed.  The plastic panel to the fuses was removed and the rear seat pulled forward and items were removed from the boot.

At a location in Spring Gardens sometime between 08.55 and 14.00 Monday 16 November - the front drivers side window was smashed and items stolen from within.

At a location in St Giles Street sometime between 13.30 and 16.20 Monday 16 November - The drivers side window was smashed and the handle forced to gain entry.  It is currently unknown if anything has been taken.

Please remember to secure all vehicles when not in use, even for the shortest periods of time. Remember to remove all valuables from your vehicles rather than hide them in the boot or glove box, activate alarm systems where fitted and use steering locks. Always try to park in well-lit and visible areas is you cannot park in a secure garage.
