This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police to Licensed Premises, Pub Watch and residents living within the centre of Northampton of two incidents of theft from vehicles.
Whilst parked outside a premises in Abington Square, a securely vehicle was broken into sometime between the hours of 00.30 and 09.15 Saturday 14 November. The passenger side window of the vehicle was smashed, and property stolen.
In Clare Street the passenger window of a car was smashed sometime around 16.45 Saturday 14 November and a handbag stolen from underneath the car seat.
Please remember to secure all vehicles when not in use, even for the shortest periods of time. Remember to remove all valuables from your vehicles rather than hide them in the boot or glove box, activate alarm systems where fitted and use steering locks. Always try to park in well-lit and visible areas is you cannot park in a secure garage.
