[NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COMMUNITY MESSAGING - Northamptonshire West - 10.11.09 - WB/CMS/1216/09 -BURGLARY - WN12 and BOA]

This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police to all residents in the central area of Northampton town centre and also all members of BoatWatch.

Please be aware that a boat moored at Nunn Mills Road was broken in to sometime between 15:00 Saturday 6 November and 08:00 Monday 9 November. In this incident the offenders broke the canopy covering the boat and smashed a safety window using a wooden pole. Once inside the boat the offenders made a seating area from lifejackets.

Please remain vigilant as the nights start to draw in, report any suspicious activity seen, using the dedicated Watch number, alternatively contact Northamptonshire West Police or Crimestoppers quoting reference below.

Drugs In Our Community

As you know, drugs are NEVER something we should turn our backs on. Drugs can be addictive, even cannabis and many people commit crime in order to get the cash to pay for drugs. There is also the side issue of dirty needles being left lying around the Semilong Community, as what happened recently when some were found outside Castle School.

For that reason, if you know anything about drugs in our community, please let the police know, let us know, or tell Crimestoppers.

This is an issue which must be tackled.
