[NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COMMUNITY MESSAGING - Northamptonshire West - 12.10.09 - WN12 - BURGLARY - 906 ]

This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police to all residents in central Northampton.

Please be aware that a property in Hood Street was broken in to sometime between 13.40 and 14.15 Saturday 10 October.

Force was used to gain entry through the front PVC door causing the damage to the lower panel and property stolen from within.

Residents are reminded to secure all doors, windows and side accessed to your home when not in use, even for the shortest amount of time. If you have any information in relation to this incident please report using the dedicated NHW number, alternatively contact Northamptonshire West Police or Crimestoppers quoting reference below.

Drugs In Our Community

As you know, drugs are NEVER something we should turn our backs on. Drugs can be addictive, even cannabis and many people commit crime in order to get the cash to pay for drugs. There is also the side issue of dirty needles being left lying around the Semilong Community, as what happened recently when some were found outside Castle School.

For that reason, if you know anything about drugs in our community, please let the police know, let us know, or tell Crimestoppers.

This is an issue which must be tackled.
