[NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COMMUNITY MESSAGING - Northamptonshire West - 02.10.09 - WB/CMS/828/09 - WN12 - Vehicle ]

This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police to all residents in the Central area of Northampton Town Centre.

Please be aware that a vehicle parked in Colwyn Road was broken in to sometime between 10:50 Wednesday 30 September and 04:45 Thursday 1 October. In this incident the offenders levered open the top of the driver's door to gain entry to the vehicle and removed the car radio, Cd's and a child's car seat.

Please remember to remove all valuables from your vehicle rather than hide them in your glove box or boot. If you are unable to park in a secure garage please park in a well-lit area. Always remember to secure your vehicle when you leave it for any amount of time. If you are able to remove the front panel of vehicle stereos please do so when you leave the vehicle unattended.

Drugs In Our Community

As you know, drugs are NEVER something we should turn our backs on. Drugs can be addictive, even cannabis and many people commit crime in order to get the cash to pay for drugs. There is also the side issue of dirty needles being left lying around the Semilong Community, as what happened recently when some were found outside Castle School.

For that reason, if you know anything about drugs in our community, please let the police know, let us know, or tell Crimestoppers.

This is an issue which must be tackled.
