[NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COMMUNITY MESSAGING - Northamptonshire West - 23.09.09 - WB/CMS/742/09 - WN12 THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE]

This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police to residents the central area of northampton.

Please be aware that sometime between 18:00 Monday 21 September and 18:45 Tuesday 22 September a vehicle parked in St Michaels Road was broken in to. The offenders stole a camera and a handbag from within.

Residents are reminded to secure all vehicles when not in use, even for the shortest periods of time. Please remove all valuables from your vehicles rather than hide them in the boot or glove box, activate alarm systems where fitted and use steering locks.  If you are able to remove the front display on stereo systems please do so when you leave your vehicle unattended.

Drugs In Our Community

As you know, drugs are NEVER something we should turn our backs on. Drugs can be addictive, even cannabis and many people commit crime in order to get the cash to pay for drugs. There is also the side issue of dirty needles being left lying around the Semilong Community, as what happened recently when some were found outside Castle School.

For that reason, if you know anything about drugs in our community, please let the police know, let us know, or tell Crimestoppers.

This is an issue which must be tackled.
