This is a message from Northamptonshire West Police to all residents living around central Northampton.
Please be aware that around 22:00 Sunday 16 August and 09.50 Monday morning an attempt was made to remove items from a vehicle parked in Talbot Road. The front passenger window was smashed whereupon the glove box was searched and an attempt made to steal the CD player from the centre console.
Another vehicle was targeted on Monday 17 August around 19.50 to 20.35 in the evening while parked at the hospital in Cliftonville. The rear quarter light window on the passenger side was removed and a sat nav stolen from within.
Please remember to secure all vehicles, even if you are only leaving them for a short period of time. It is advisable to remove all valuables from vehicles, rather than hide them in the glove box or boot. Remember to activate any alarm systems and use steering locks where fitted. Parking in well-lit areas is recommended if you are unable to secure your vehicle in a garage.
